Albufeira - Is the most famous resort in the district of Faro, Algarve and one of the biggest in Portugal.
The county is divided by five parishes, Albufeira it self and Ferreiras, Guia, Olhos d'Agua and Paderne. The most popular places in the town, are the fishermen's beach and harbour, the strip in Montechoro. This last one is very popular for all ages especially for the young people, where they can find a very lively night live. The old town still conserves the old live of Albufeira, with narrow streets and typical houses.

Aljezur - Is situated in the centre of the beautiful Natural Park of Vicentine cost, in Portugal south west coast, 110 Km from Faro.
Is divided in four parishes, Aljezur, Bordeira, Odeceixe and Rogil. Aljezur, is a paradise for nature lovers, fishermen's, surfers and family's looking for a relax holiday, away from the busy resorts of the Algarve south cost. There aren't many hotels (Hotel Vale da Telha is the only one), as the ones you can find in the south cost, so the best way to stay in the area is to rent private house. Another option to stay is the camping, as you can contact directly with the nature of the place and discover Aljezur.

Alporchinhos - Is situated in Lagoa County, and 3 Km away from the centre of Armacao de Pera.

Alvor - Popular Algarve resort, in the Portimão County, 5km away.
Is a small fishing village, where the old and the new join each other to make a special place. The village still conserves its narrow and cobbled streets, with its traditional houses mixed with new ones. The harbour it's its best postcard, with its bar terraces and where you can enjoy a lovely sunset, full of colours. Alvor is looked mostly by families with children, where they can enjoy of a relaxing beach and sun holiday. There are a lot of restaurants, shops and live music bars, including a lot of Irish Bars. On the way to the beach, there is the fishermen's warehouse, where they still work their fishing tackle. In the morning you still can see the fishermen's arriving from the sea, with the fish, which you can eat in the harbour restaurants.
Alvor Attractions: The cliffs and long beach, the harbour and the river estuary as a nature reserve of "natura" 2000; the village it self; bird reserve in Quinta da Rocha, boat trips and fishing, the parish church, the sunset in the harbour.

Armacao de Pera - Is part of the Silves County, its name is formed with the village of Pera name plus the fishing gear name "armaçao", used by its people to catch tuna fish.
The village is 2 Km away from Pera and Alcantarilha. Was always a place of tents, where the people of "Pera" were living and storing their fishing objects, during their fishing campaigns. The big affluence of people, looking for the sun and for its beautiful beaches, provoked a massive grow, with a lot of building apartments some ones very high up. In the summer mounths the place gets very busy, with the apartments full of holiday makers. There is a lot of shops, bars and restaurants.
Armacao de Pra Attractions:The fortress, its small church of the XVII Century and the beach where vessels and fishing gears was going out to the see, The beach of Senhora da Rocha and its chapel on the top of the cliffs (Lagoa County).

Burgau - is part of Vila do Bispo County, in the west of the Algarve, 100 Km distance from Faro. It's a small fishing village, where de development is far away, due to the distance of the main entrance of the Algarve. The town is situated on the cliffs around the harbour and the beach, the narrow streets going down hill, ends on the sea or on the beach. The most part of the houses are old, but you can find some new apartments and villas around the old area, not far from the centre and the beach. Burgau is still nature and a place to be discovered, is the border south of the natural reserve of the Vicentine's cost. The funny thing about Burgau, is that you can drive the car into the sea or the beach, so be careful.

Carvoeiro - Is a village of Lagoa County, 65 Km from The Capital of the Algarve, Faro.
From a small fishing community Carvoeiro is now an international resort, attracting people from the entire world. Its visitors are attracted by the sun, its climate and coastline, dotted by high cliffs and small beaches. The town houses with their traditional terraces fall down hills, into the sea. The worship to this place has caused tourists to divide their life's, between their countries and Carvoeiro. The place is full of very nice villas and houses, some owned by foreigners, Hotels and apartments providing a great quality offer to all visitors. There is 3 golf courses near the town contributing as well, to bring more people to the area. Is a quiet place but not that far from the lively centres of Portimão or Albufeira.

Ferragudo - The fishing village is a parish of "Lagoa" and is located on the left bank of the Arade River just facing Praia da Rocha. There is a small number of hotel's, but is very appreciated by the tourists, that discover and stay's in this area. Because the approximately from Portimão, Ferragudo is more dependent from this city then to the main city of the County and it's in Portimão, where the most part of its inhabitants works. Ferragudo is growing slowing to the tourism, keeping its old style preserved to the ones who visit the village, its narrow and cabled streets with their traditional houses and the church on the top facing the river and Portimao.

Lagos - The Portuguese discovery's city, is a County on the western Algarve, facing the bay with the same name. Got 6 parishes, Barão de São João, Bensafrim, Praia da Luz, Odiáxere, Santa Maria and São Sebastião, the last two are in the city. Lagos is recognized, by the young people as the party city. Since the beginning of the tourism, Lagos has been very popular by its way of live, the lovely rocky cliffs formations and beaches, especially by its characteristic night live. The locales has given funny names to the caves a long the cost line, sculptures made by the see. Boat trips from the harbour are daily available, on small boats that you can rent to see this famous caves, with a local guide that can let you know all about each cave. Lagos is as well a place of fishermen's and in the harbour a cross the river, you can see them working on their fishing gears. A great marina with some nice bars, are used by Yates, passing over the cost or by holiday people that bring the boat south to spend a nice holiday here. Portimao - Is the big city of the western Algarve, 70 Km from Faro, the County have three Prishes; Portimao, Alvor and Mexilhoeira Grande. What stopped, Portimao to grow in the passed, made the city one of the most important, if not the most Important in the Algarve, the Arade River. In the passed the Arade river was not so protect then Alvor or Lagos river and it served as a route to Silves a very important city in the passed. It was only last century that Portimão start its development, first with a small industry of dry fruits from the Algarve, then with the canned fish industry here bringing a lot of people to the city, to work in the sardines factories. But it was the tourism that made Portimão as it is now, a new and modern city, full of new people, new shopping centres and tourism with Praia da Rocha and Alvor as its best examples.
